Kjære Europa starts with three actors who try to embody the stories of refugees. In their attempts they meet, amongst others: Karon, who sells cheap tickets and fills boats to the rim over Stryx; a professor who wishes to explain the backdrop of the war in Syria; the Prime Minister who starts to doubt the message in his own New Year speech. the rescue boat Elias on patrol, several of the most visible internet arguers and a minister who bases her judgements on judgements of judgements.
The texts are written specifically for this piece of theatre and based on research, interviews, fiction and reality. Kjære Europa is not a traditional piece of theatre. The actors use their own lives in meeting with the crisis in the Mediterranean. This is the situation in Europe right now and the world is brought right into the theatre.
