Synopsis

Ensemble play with 17 parts. The play can, and should be, played by fewer actors. Male/female parts are easily reversed. The play was written for Den Unge Scenen and they retain the rights throughout 2017. After this, the play is available for production. “Å telle til null” is constructed almost like a bomb. It starts with scene ten and counts backwards to zero. In the play we meet several youngsters who are affected by each other’s actions. We meet the gang who make a youtube-hit on the railway tracks. We meet a young reality star and a stalker. We meet those who’s job it is to wash dead animals off trains and those who trick the handicapped Lars into stealing fireworks. We meet a sick dog and a dead cow. The play creates a patchwork of all this and more. Å telle til null is about many different things. Is it, for example, ok not to be constantly happy with “the tyranny of happiness” ? Do we dare to show who we really are when everything we do is a fasade? And what happens when someone has had enough? What happens when we have counted to zero?
