Synopsis

In Festning Europa the fates of a boat refugee and a Norwegian family are knit together. The family goes on holiday. At the same time, somewhere else, a young man gets on a small raft. The family flies South. The man floats north. They are going to the same holiday island. He flees from war in Africa and dreams of Europe. The family fly from Norway and dream of a holiday. Festning Europa wishes to reflect the dilemmas The West is facing with regards to growing migration and tie these together in an emotionally charged moment.
